Tell visitors they're talking to an AI. Keep proof that you did.
Since 2 August 2026, the EU AI Act expects people to be told, clearly and at first contact, when they're chatting with an AI. Scan your site to see what a visitor sees today.
Free, no sign-up. We open your homepage once in a browser and look for chat widgets and an AI notice.
You're chatting with an AI assistant. A person can take over if you ask.
Record for yourshop.eu
- Notice shown in English, Latvian and Polish
- Tidio confirmed: AI agent Lyro is on
- Check: notice still visible
How it works
-
Scan your site
We open your homepage in a real browser and look for chat widgets from 55+ vendors, and for a notice a visitor can actually see.
-
Add one script tag
It finds your chat launcher and shows a short, accessible notice in the visitor's language. No cookies, nothing tracked.
-
Keep the record
Each change is dated: which AI you use, what the vendor confirmed, when you reviewed it. Export it as a PDF when someone asks.
What the scan checks, and what it can't
Checked
- Chat and AI assistant widgets from 55+ vendors, including Shopify AI chats and custom-built bots
- Text a visitor can see that reads like an AI notice, in any of the 24 EU languages
- Whether your vendor sells an AI agent product
Not visible to a scan
- Notices that only appear after opening the chat or clicking a link
- Widgets that load only on other pages or after a cookie choice
- Whether the widget runs in AI mode or is answered by people
A scan is a starting point, not a verdict. Every result says what it couldn't see.
For agencies and data protection consultants
You look after dozens of client sites. Tellvault gives you one list: which sites run an AI chat, which show a notice, and a record per client you can hand over.
- Up to 15 client sites on the Agency plan
- Daily checks that the notice still shows
- A PDF record per client site
| Site | Chat | Status |
|---|---|---|
| klinika-smile.pl | Zipchat | Notice live |
| baltic-tyres.lv | Tidio | Needs a notice |
| nordic-flats.ee | Intercom | Notice live |
Questions
Is the notice my duty or my chat vendor's?
Article 50(1) puts it on the provider: whoever builds the AI system. If you built your own bot, or an agency built it for you, that's you. If you use a vendor such as Tidio or Intercom, the vendor must make disclosure possible, but your visitors see your site, so you're the one they, or an authority, will ask. The practical test is the same either way: does a visitor know before they type?
My vendor already shows a notice. Do I need this?
Maybe not. If it's clear and visible when the chat starts, keep it, and keep a dated record that it's there. The scan shows whether it's visible; the record is the part a vendor setting doesn't give you.
Does the script set cookies or track visitors?
No. It sets no cookies, uses no storage and sends nothing about your visitors anywhere. There's nothing to add to your cookie banner.
Which languages?
All 24 official EU languages on paid plans, picked from the visitor's browser. The free plan shows English.
Is this legal advice?
No. It's tooling that helps you meet the transparency duty and show what you did. For your specific case, ask a lawyer.
